J was in college when he heard a woman singing this song in the dorm room next door. He was so moved that he knocked on the door and begged to be introduced to the owner of that beautifully haunting voice. Luckily ( for me!), the voice came from an old record of the Swingle Singers- a French a capella group from the 1960's.
This is the song that was playing the moment I knew in my heart that I had fallen in love with J, the song that we hummed to baby mini-sassy, the song we sing to calm Hugo , the Havaianas Hound when he is scared ( like when he takes baths). This is our rainy Saturday morning song-curled up on the sofa with cups of tea or hot chocolate.
Music has that magical effect, doesn't it? Transporting us to defining moments, capturing a snippet of time, making us feel 16 again and putting a smile on our faces......
Have you ever thought about the soundtrack of your life?
Welcome! This is a blog created to discuss, display, dream, see, share, live, breathe and celebrate life and all things Havaianas.
When I put on my Havaianas, I am reminded to relax, laugh often, walk on the sunny side of the street, find beauty in the small things, never say no to dancing or a slice of birthday cake, say I love you often, and try to be the kindest person I know.
For me, Havaianas is a state of mind and a lifestyle. It's about being true to myself, happiness that is shared and appreciating beauty wherever I find it- be it fashion, art, books, music, interior design or food.
This blog is a moodboard for the work-in-progress that is life! Thanks for stopping by!
Obrigada,
sassy
